Ice Dyed Galaxy Sneakers

Last summer I bought a cheap ($8) pair of sneakers to dye. I had tried ice dying a few tshirts and wanted to try a pair of shoes.

Wet shoes throughly.
Rub Vaseline on the rubber sides of your shoes. If you skip this step, the white rubber sides will absorb the dye.

Make an ice dam around your shoes to hold the ice in.
Cover shoes with lots and lots of ice.
Sprinkle powder dye over shoes.
Let ice melt overnight.

Rinse shoes well with cold water.

Wash and dry shoes.

Rug Redo

My daughter was tired of the rug in her room.

I wanted to change the color to blue for our family room. I didn't use color remover first because I didn't feel it needed it. I used Rit DyeMore in Sapphire Blue. Unfortunately it wasn't as dark as I liked.

I asked Rit for help. They suggested using Graphite to darken the Sapphire Blue. I made a new dye bath with Graphite and Blue Sapphire. We all love the way it came out
